... Chile that this is a don't-miss community.

We visited a second home of the Chilean Nobel-Prize winning poet, Pablo Neruda. This home is situated south of Valparaiso overlooking the Pacific. The view from everywhere in his house was amazing, but particularly spectacular was his bedroom with the bed angled so the sun rose over his head and set at his feet. It was nice meeting people we had only known/met on the message board. Since today is a sea day there is no rush to do anything. We walked two miles on the outside track to supplement our no elevator ...

As much as we have loved some of the cities and towns on our trip, I think it is safe to say that Santiago is our favourite stop so far. It's a very livable city and while it is very spread out with many different districts, each is just as beautiful as the last and all felt comfortable and safe to wander around.
