... an alley, to get to the actual funicular.

As Greg said, "The first part of funicular is fun", and I have to agree. I believe the funicular costed the equivalent of $0.50, which was so worth it. After the quick ride up, we got treated to some pretty cool views of Valparaiso. After about a couple minutes, we started to make our way to go find some food. For what should've been like a 10 minute walk turned into a 20-30 minute walk. The reason: there was so ...

This means you can use any colour, or combination of colours, that you ...

... our destination we found out that we had to beep ourselves out of the system and only then were we charged (the amount was less than what we were expecting and cheaper than the bus). We can only presume that when the lady beeped the card and signalled for us to go through she had just been checking the credit on the card. Now that we knew the correct price we were able to charge the card with the cost of our journey. Language barriers ...

... to buy it some day. We gave her a wave. She still seems very chipper! Also stopped for delicious home made alfajores that were obviously what they are supposed to taste like when they're not the ones that come for free on the bus journeys, and stopped to hear some ballads of the city played by an old guy on the guitar on Paseo Atkinson.

Tom ate a shellfish empanada, which turned out to be a wanton and foolish mistake, so missed the ...
