... from some of the slum areas. We were lucky enough to catch the changing of the guard outside the royal palace and were fascinated with the military precision. Valparaiso is built on a hillside and travel is by "assendors" (street elevators) or on foot. Walking is worth the effort because the street art on the buildings is fantastic.
