... drive today towards St. Moritz. The mountains in Italy and Switzerland are gorgeous. These mountains look really tall but the highest we have gotten so far is only about 8,000 feet. They are much taller than that but there is just so high one can go with roads when they are so zagged and rocky. We saw several glaciers today.
We are back in Switzerland and in a lovely hotel in St. Moritz—Hotel San Gian. We are walking a good 30 minutes up the ...
... we went higher and higher on the worlds slowest express train. The steep, slow, winding track affords so many vistas that we were running from side to side of the train, gasping at every turn and bend. Luckily our carriage was nearly empty so we and a few others could do this.

He has travelled a lot but grew up around this area of Switzerland. As we passed through Bergun, he said how he used to teach there and ...
... surprised with this? Giulianis married Scardiglis and before this they married Crameri's, all traced back to Poschiavo. Every second person living or dead here is called Giuliani or Crameri! In fact the chef/owners wife is a Crameri!......”le sigh”. I feel like I'm a spectator in a very weird wonderland. Ken however is delighted as they have welcomed him as a “Pushlav”( the term used for locals to the area). ...
