... The are is known for its wine. To stabilise the ground, many low stone walls have been built. If you out them all together they are as long as the Great Wall of China. Locals on the land work incredibly hard here. I saw a lot of workers walking up very steep flights on stairs caring crates of grapes to be pressed. This has been one of my favourites. I know I say this all the time, but each place keeps getting better to is awesome in ...

Back on the road again after a purchase of some red wines from the cellar and some beautiful winery branded wine glasses for home, we settled into the motorway, another few hundred kilometers under the belt and we stopped in Sestri Levante, just north of La Spezia and Cinque Terre, which is WAY too overcrowded to even consider visiting. ... crazy stuff. Due to the previous day weather forecast of rain the tracks are not crowded. Took about another 1 1/2hr to get to Vernazza. We buy some lunch and have a coffee shot on ice was so nice but that will help us get to the last town lol. We ate our lunch down near the water and you look around at the view it's just so gorgeous old buildings faded shutters paint peeling off walls washing hanging out but it all adds to ...

... probably smelly, but as the town appeared before our eyes we forgot all our problems and took in the amazing views of Vernazza dipping down from the cliff and into the beach. After our long walk we finished off with what can only be described as the most refreshing swim I have ever had, and made our way home for another amazing home cooked dinner.

The following day we ventured out, thankfully by train, all the way to the fifth and final town of Cinque Terre. This town ...
