        ... the hope this would help my migraine head (apparently Caffeine helps??)
        We walked through the town with our umbrellas and continued up to a beautiful church perched high on the hill where there were some nice views of the coast. It was gorgeous up there and we were surprised to see many family crypts/vaults set in man made alcoves around the church. Sounds weird (my family will just think it's normal...(RACHEL!!)....but I LOVE smelling things. ...

        ... They tried everything to get close to us, around us, and in back of us. We were very alert and they were very clumsy. They didn’t come close. We are now on extra alert!

        It looks like we beat the tourists to La Spezia. There are some here but June, July, and August it will be crowded. We had time to do some walking around and went down to the docks ...

        ... a standard. I don't know what people do in this time (cause all the stores are closed!) but it does seem to be the standard. They have a restaurant on site which is a good thing since we are a ways from the city. The restaurant here is more fine dining and the food is wonderful, but not plenty. Well we could use a few small meals every now and then.

        ... to wait. Finally the one came heading in the direction we wanted. It took us to Portovenere where we once again had to get off and onto another ferry to get to Le Spezia. Never mind we were there, something that looked a little remote for awhile. Tonight we have both repacked our suitcases as we fly out of Pisa tomorrow, and know there will be a weight limit for our luggage.
