    We tick off a few more villages today. The third, Corneglia requires climbing 365 steps up to the town. Vernazza was affected by flooding in 2011 and is still recovering, though today was filled with tourists.

    Unfortunately due to landslides many sections of the walk that connects the 5 villages are closed. Only one remains open connecting Vernazza to Monterosso and this happens to be the longest stretch. ...

    ... We started the walk quite early but still found it rather busy and obviously hot. Compared to yesterday's walks it was quite a bit harder and steeper. We saw a lot of people in jandels doing it which isn't really ideal.     ... lot further up the street than we first realized. we arrived a bit later than anticipated and guess what, we have come to the back door and the owner has now come around to find us, no wonder the instructions are so very different!
