Instead we decided to have some fun with leaping for joy photos. We enjoyed lunch at a little hiding restaurant run by a lovely italian man who taught me the polite italian way to show the number 3 with my fingers. Use your thumb and next 2 fingers, NOT your ...

    ... badly) from England.

We then headed off for La Spezia where we had a hotel booked. I can't really describe what a treat this is after sleeping in a campervan for nearly 2 weeks. We got a taxi to the station and then took the train to La Spezia central. The hotel was nice but a bit basic. To us at this point though it was the Ritz. Having a shower to yourself and walking on a real floor was just heaven.
