    So we arrived at the campsite at Imperia with another problem with the Alarm Siren Sounding and the Engine Immobiliser kicking in... We now have 3 problems still to sort out, the Fiat Speedometer, Kitchen Tap and the Alarm..! Claim with Amex being processed for the Water Diesel and the repair from the Fiat Dealer to flush the system and just to keep everything ticking along also contacted AGIP Service Stations HQ... Can't do any ...

    A few different cats and kittens came to visit in the morning. It seems that the village is slowly being overrun to the point where I am sure there are more cats than people.

    ... excited at the thought! Once siesta time was over for the locals and we had recovered from our, let's be honest, near death, experience we headed to the shops to stock up on wine and cheese! Stopping on the way back for a cheeky little prosseco at an empty bar we were joined minutes later by what must be the only other English people in the area! What a totally random night!     ... Lots of tourists but it still has a charm with its narrow streets and view down to the ocean. Dropped into Vence on our way through to Menton.

    Menton was our final destination. It is a scaled down version of Nice with lots of people in the sunshine sunbaking on the stony beach and lots of grand hotels. Enjoyed dinner on the esplanade looking out over the turquoise blue ...

    ... the easiest tasks..... We finally found one in a building that didn’t look like a shopping centre at all. It didn't help that it was pouring rain.



    The drive up the mountain was scary. If the roads and traffic weren’t bad enough
    the fog, or was it cloud, made it extremely difficult. Meanwhile our travelling companions were starving at home.
