    ... Sebastian's where we could find tombstones dates back to the early 1700's - WOW! We then head to the Franciscan Monastery (yep, there's still a few monks there leading the flock). From there, we were able to see the Church of St. Magnus and the High Castle (this was the former residence of the Bishops of Augsburg).     ... tour and the castle!

    Once we finished with his boyhood home, we headed up a very steep 30-minute hike to get to his fairytale castle, Neuschwanstein! While the first castle was beautiful but not extravagant, the parts of this castle that were finished were astounding opulent!     ... strudel. Just the icing on the cake. A wonderful day was spent & back to our hotel. Dinner was independent tonight so we found a lovely Indian restaurant next to our hotel. Vespers & best meal since I left home. And Greg had a lamb dish & I had a chicken one. A lovely walk through one of the gardens before retiring & walking off our tea completed a wonderful day.
