We set off early this morning for the Moravian Karst to visit the Pynkva Cave and Macocha Abyss. We had reserved tickets for the tour at 10am and needed to arrive 40 mins early to pick up the tickets. We caught a train from Brno at 8.30 then a bus from Blansko to the ticket office. ... and tomorrow. I went to the supermarket to get Cream but as nothing is written in English I returned with Sour Cream and was immediately sent back to get Whipped Cream. I did manage to find it however – not a popular item for the locals.

We notice there are no cars in the centre of Brno, it is all trams and the few taxi's (for millionaires only) as the advertising tells us on the tourist ...

... to Brno.

Our apartment is very nice. It has 2 bedrooms and is on the top floor with a terrace that overlooks the church spires of St James Church. Unfortunately no air-con but lots of windows that open to catch the breeze.

We later walked through Freedom Square to the Brno Information Centre which is in the Old Town Hall and were surprised to see a crocodile hanging in the entrance! Silly us... it turns out the stuffed croc is the ...

More rain today, took the A roads to try and get some better riding. However the rain combined with the traffic made it a bit of a chore.....so spending all day struggling to find any enjoyment and all nights talking to myself makes for a very depressed ...

Eventful first night in Brrrrrno went to restaurant downstairs with Czech musicians playing Locals joining in singing and dancing It was a wonderful atmosphere. Brno is the 2 nd largest city in Czech Republic Again many wonderful buildings and amazing cathedral. Did some drawing with Jenny and Marion so very peaceful I'm picking up some tips. Went into cathedral just as a wedding ceremony was about to start the organ music was very moving ...
