Hanka took us to the Memorial of the Battle of the Three Emperors where Napoleons beat the Russians and Austrians on a hill near Brno. 15,000 killed the one day battle and more with typhus and injuries after. We departed today from Prague to Vienna with a stop in Brno. This town strikes us as a functional, workman city. Everything has a purpose, with little architectural elaboration. This will be especially apparent in the castle, while the Cathedral is more ornate.
