... stagnant water/mud... There was a heated pool to the side and people were 'quite literally' being hosed down before they were allowed to get in (various pool attendants took turns at holding the hose!!)...
When I returned the boat, we had been joined by an organised tour and a lunch of chicken curry (that famous Turkish cuisine!!) was served, whilst we sailed around we passed a couple of ...

6 ladies, two men, two weeks, only 1 Turkiye!

I was really overdue my holidays, finally getting to take it in October and I just signed up to two weeks of not doing much in Turkey with a couple of friends in a group. For me though not doing much isn't my cup of tea so I took every chance to re-live my old Turkey memories, from food, sights, sea, dancing and ahem, yes the men, again :)

Please come back soon as I update all the stories from the two weeks. Thanks.

... of the world is explored, and that some areas can retain a look and feel unique in the world.

For me some of the best places are areas that retain a pleasant and unique environment, whilst subtly presenting me with the things that allow me to be more comfortable. Simply presenting me with an English menu describing the local cuisine would be a good example - not one filled with pictures of overly sweet iced-cream desserts.

... circumstance, outcome and all -- did not match my vision for how it “should” be.

[ “Suffering?”, said the Buddhist teacher, “Must be attached . . .” ]

I know the rhetoric. I know that I attract to my experience whatever is the subject of my attention, and therefore focusing on the negative, the complaint, and the lack, not only that it doesn’t bring forth the desired outcome, it actually brings more of the ...

pamukkale is expensive.

Awoke near Pamukkale and paid a scandalous amount to get in. 10 pounds each to see some tepid pools of water. Even the initially striking karstic rock was pretty much covered in faint brown footprints. The extorsion didn't end there as it turned out that Cleopatra's Baths, the hot spring at the top was an additional cost. We thought we could get away with just paying for one of us to get in and then swapping the ...

... t believe it as we passed Ephesus. TIME 2. We were going to a ceramic factory. Sure, it was cool seeing how they made beautiful ceramic bowls, Turkish style...but I wanted to see the ceramic bowls made Hellenistic style over 2000 years ago! Jessica and Phoenix made some purchases, so it took about 45 minutes. I didn't resent them, I resented Fez...this was not in the brochure.

Only it didn't stop there...then we went to a leather factory, where tour buses ...

LYCIAN WAY

We're walking the Lycian Way. Starting tomorrow. Taken a long time to get here but I know it's gonna be worth it.

Gonna be beautiful.

Staying at a really nice hotel.

There's a few pics of where we're staying near.

Looking forward to getting completely destroyed by the hotness and longness of the walk. :)

Just a bit of good, clean fun?!

... a really weird feeling. The mud was covered with about 6 inches of water from the hot spring, so the mud was warm. I jumped right into it - wading from one end of the pool to the other. Morganne joined me - just a bit slower. Jeff finally got up his courage to put his feet in, then he reached down and spread mud on himself while he sat on the edge of the pool. We all helped each other by slapping mud on each ...

Piggish Delight

... this, it was a very very hot day and there was no shade anywhere. We tried renting an umbrella, but apparently they don't do that till summer. So, we opted for a quick dip in the ocean followed by much sun screen and a hat over the face. We had split from our group and taken an area where no one else was around for some area. Sure enough, a loud Turkish man and his wife and kid decided to take the one seat next to ...
