        ... and flew about the site at night making a call that was reminiscent of a lorry reversing. The site is apparently famous for its birds and most of the people staying there were to be seen marching purposefully into the countryside carrying binoculars and telescopes.

        ... of town was a 4km climb, with a steady grade of about 6%. That might not sound like much, but holy **** it required work. I kept saying to myself ... poco a poco. Little by little.

        My stay here sees me in a private residence secured through AirBNB. For two nights I have my own room close to the centre of town and my washing done by the "Little Old Lady", proprietor and with breakfast, and all for $25 per night.I did have trouble finding it as many of the streets have no signage but I knew I was close and given that I had walked enough I just hailed a cab and $4 later I was there.
