    ... had us also driving around town trying to work out how to get into the pedestrian mall to the hotel. Eventually we had to do the unthinkable and as they had suggested ring them. It was then clear how to get the pole to go down so we could drive in the narrow at times but deserted pedestrian area to get to the hotel and then drive into the always narrow underground parking. ...

Anyway, San Juan was a top bloke too, helping pilgrims by building bridges, hostels, churches etc, in this district, and he founded this Monastery in 1150, and at the equinox, rays of sun stream in onto Mary.     ... and charming woman in her 70's who is Scottish, living in South Africa, and has traveled extensively including the Himalayas. I found her so attractive with her youthful blues eyes and her accent (see photo). As we chatted about how people find the way in life she taught me an old Scottish saying: "That which is for you won't go by you". I suppose we just need to keep aware :) About 28k to Castrojeriz today ...

    ... for lunch and it can cost anywhere from 7 Euro to 20 Euro, but it's pretty good value and great food with lots of seafood and calamari.

    We celebrated Maria's mother birthday lunch. She doesn't look a day over 70 and dresses impeccably and is completely with it. We had about a six course lunch with wine and cake.

    In Burgos all the people go promenading along the river and in the square where they sit soaking up the sun ...
