In need of a rest day, and having been frightened off by the profile of the three stages required to get to Burgos today, I waved goodbye to William in the small plaza behind our hotel at 8.15am. Spent the night in a very small donation based albergue, which included a communal dinner prepared by pilgrims staying at the albergue. Following dinner there was a group prayer where we read the prayers of previous pilgrims and had a chance to write our own prayers or reasons for walking the Camino.
