... and decides to aim for Palencia as a stopping point. The roads are less full and so the Raven opens up to cruise at a pretty decent speed. The hotel in Palencia is unpretentiously comfortable with a very scary underground garage. The Raven whimpers a bit as Guy abandons him for the night in the dungeon. A simple supper in a tapas bar and an early night... very early by Spanish ...

... a range of skin products called Esdor, using skin etc. from the grapes. Then went back in to Panafiel looking for another winery that the guys wanted to visit but everything seemed to be closed for Siesta and it was so hot we decided to go back to the castle for lunch. Had a restful afternoon which was sorely needed and decided on dinner at the castle ...

... the ENTIRE castle-and we did! It was seriously so incredible and interesting. I took a million pictures there, so make sure to check them out! Then we went to see another smaller castle, and then we went to a small, private winery. At the winery, we learned how the wine is made, got to tour the winery and the vineyards, and of course, had a wine tasting session! We returned to Segovia ...
