We were planning to go to Liechtenstein but thought we may as well as it was sort of on our way. It's the worlds 6 smallest country so it would have been rude not to go..haha.

We didn't drive to the main town but to another.. where really there wasn't anything. I did get a photo with the tourist sign though. Had to somehow prove I'd been there!

Obersaxen, Switzerland acgwhale... both up the hills and down them!! They had just made it through the Flueelapass, but they had lost brakes, and so the vehicle was left on the road and they put their stuff in another vehicle to get to the nearby campsite. A short night later, they eventually got back to their vehicle, and found that it was OK to drive. Gaz had removed the bonnet, to allow the engine to cool more easily.

They ...
Landquart, Switzerland dirtyweekenders... found a spot. Touris tat and postcards were the first stop. Luckily the little kiosk took Euros - we hadn't thought of that! But he didn't sell stamps, and directed us towards the post office. They took Euro notes, but gave change in Swiss francs, which seemed a bit odd. Anyway, no choice, so the cards got posted. At ast we were back on track.
The way back to the car park ...
Vaduz, Vaduz, Liechtenstein dirtyweekenders... Feldkirch I got lost. Actually I was just trying to get to McDonald's because the group wanted a bathroom break and the public toilets here were not to our standards. Anyway, I drove past the McDonald's twice - once my fault and once the navigator's - and drove down a pedestrian only section of road before we gave up and continued on our journey out of town and deeper into Austria.
Feldkirch, Austrian Alps, Austria travelingdiva... get on the bus I watched southern Liechtenstein roll past on the way to Vaduz. Cute villages with quaint houses, cows grazing in green pastures, and a castle sitting on a high hill surrounded by vineyards.

Vaduz is a very nice city. The royal residence, a castle of course, sits on a high cliff directly above the city centre. The main street is a pedestrian street with shops and restaurants, museums, the tourist office, the ...
Vaduz, Liechtenstein travelingdiva... was otherwise the best day so far with a nice meal of Rösti. Something all seven of us partook in and all seven of us enjoyed completely. Tamara and I finished our skiing the next morning after only about an hour and a half - our legs exhausted and barely able to hold us, my knee extremely sore and T's ankles swollen. The entire crew was like a walking MASH unit - every single person suffered from aches, pains and injuries - calf muscles, ankles, knees, back ...
Arosa, Swiss Alps, Switzerland croxandlilt... car went across one of those pulley tension things, everyone in the car screamed. It's a rreally strange feeling. But it was pretty funny seeing everyone freak out. We all did make it back down safely, and hten it was back on the bus for Munich. Along the way, we stopped in Liechtenstein for lunch. It's the fourth smallest country and looked after Switzerland. But it seems to basically be Switzerland. They have the same views, and also use the Swiss franc ...
Vaduz, Liechtenstein suetravels... surprise around every corner you turn. I found a small (really out of the way) cemetery, apparently Jewish. I went back to get Bev so she could see it, too. I got some great shots. (Shirley should be happy.)

The time to head back to Davos came all too soon. Once again, we traveled the back roads, this time by bus, and the scenery was just as awesome as it was on our train trip coming up this morning. We traveled up to the 6,000 ft. level, up and down and all around the ...
St. Moritz, Swiss Alps, Switzerland pemalak... I am still tired! I didn’t want to drag my butt out of bed or out of the shower, once I got in. This jet lag really has me whupped. Finally, we struggled down to breakfast around 7:30 am. Breakfast was pretty much the same here as we had in Austria...cold cuts, cheeses, rolls, jams, breads, yogurt, and cereal. After breakfast, we went back up to the room to get ready for our walk and while we were up there, we could hear the church bells ringing through the valley ...
