    ... that the ruins were locked! However, a nice man appeared out of a nearby shop and unlocked the gate. We explored the temple in the downpour, and found the temple carvings more detailed and articulate than many of the other ones we visited so far. Soaked to the bone, we asked the driver to take us straight to the hotel.     ... a "tent" also known as a black tarp protecting us on two side and thatched above us with bamboo sticks. Interesting was the look on all of our faces. It turned to giggles when they laid out paper thin mats and tiny blankets for us to use. We were certainly going to have great sleeps tonight. NOT! Although it will be one night I'll remember for a long time.

    ... that I'm invited everywhere with the friends I have made here. I'm not shy to explore and the be out in villages in the middle of nowhere on my own, normally via a motorbike that I've borrowed... all part of the fun. The shouts of 'bouley, bouley' go up to mark my arrival which basically means white tourist, they feel it's lucky to see us and I always return the waves and shouts which they appreciate.

    ... they call them many other names too as they are such a nuisance).
    Once 3 o clock hits we start walking up into the jungle, we are joined by 2 other couples who forget their permit but are allowed to pay at the entrance annoyingly - my friend Emma was sent all the way back to the village when she forgot hers!
    Once at the feeding platform we instantly hear the sound of something big moving through the trees and a female and baby show up for bananas. ...

    ... people, we had dinner and talked with the American guy. Another hour passed and no one came. We were thinking about paying the full price for the whole van among the three of us when a guy came and told us there was a van going up with two people and that we could join them for half of what we would have had to pay for a whole van. There were not many more options, so we accepted the offer and jumped in the van.
