... minutes of finishing my lunch the rain began again, much earlier than normal and well with that I resigned to my room for a movie day and catching up on writing. Only ****** part about it was that my laundry was now soaking wet again and I was leaving the next morning for Lake Toba which was a solid 9-10 hours of driving. Cannot wait to see what they would smell like by the time I arrived. ARG. Oh well...just have to do my favourite choir again once I got there; weather permitting.

... the way back we sat and had dinner and watched the sunset from one of the posher hotels before heading back through the jungle in the dark and onto a singsong in my hostel which was fun. There's normally a number of local guys in every night playing guitars, drums and singing, they're a fun lot and entertain us and any tourist around and it's a nice way to finish off the day.

Next stop Banda Aceh, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed I manage the roads in one piece!

12pm Lunch
1.30pm Orangutan Forest Trek 2hrs
7pm Dinner

On our drive from Medan to Bukit Lawang, we see more of the crazy driving habits and disregard for road rules. Families fit onto small motor bikes, we often saw four sometimes five people on a motor bike. Sometimes people wore helmets. We would ...
