Today we stopped in Kavalla, which is a nice seaside town about halfway between Meteora and Galipolli, our next stop. It was 39 degrees here! The main thing to see is the Old Town, which is up on a hill and has a small castle at the top. It was a hot walk, but worth it for the views. I also bought a little blue over-the-should fake Marc Jacobs bag to use during the day.

... out my Greek language skills at reception but as usual the answer comes in English (sigh). I am never gonna learn this language. The receptionist informs me that there is a concert on the beach tonight, its part of the local festival so there are no pitches left but if I can find a spot, I can set up. It turned out there was no other campsite nearby so off I went to 'find a spot'.

Wow this place is rammed! There are tiny dome ...
