Great 4 star hotel
Spent 4 nights here in January. We arrived before 8am and was given a room almost straight away. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful. The hotel in only a short walk to the nearest metro station. Definitely will stay here again. Pluses: free mini-bar and free use of internet.
Superb Hotel Near the Forum/Colosseum
We stayed at the Artemide Hotel Dec. 2-4, 2004. The hotel is beautiful and ideally located near the Forum.Colosseum. It's within walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps/Fountain. The staff was most helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel and book it again. The breakfast room is quite attractive and offers a variety.
A great location
I stayed at the hotel for two nights in September based on the many great reviews. I had a very nice room, quite small, but it was very clean and comfortable. However, it was on the side facing the main street and I found it very noisy and difficult to get a real good night's sleep. You can walk to many of the attractions in Rome and the train stop is only a block away, so the location can't be beat.
The staff are very helpful to any request, the free mini bar is a nice feature, as is the free internet connection in the lobby. The breakfast is satisfactory but they have a hard time keeping some of the food hot and serve some fruit which is out of a can.
All in all a pretty good value for Rome. Be sure to get a room off the main street if you wish to get a good night's rest.
Great hotel in every sense
Great location, extremely good service, helpful, efficient, attention to detail. Very kind with children. Very nice rooms, new and well appointed. Delicious breakfast. A very good choice for a pleasant stay in Rome and very suitable for families as well as for individuals
Great hotel on Via Nazionale
We stayed three nights at the Hotel Artimede. We showed up very early (before 9AM) and they were able to get us a room within a few minutes (a triple) even though we were prepared to wait for regular check-in time. The room was great - large, quiet and clean. The bathroom was also very nice. We had free access to the mini-bar (beer and soft drinks)which we didn't expect. The breakfast (came with the room) had large selection of food but it can be very busy and sometimes crowded - don't be shy. The breakfast room is on a lower floor which was a little difficult to get to as my wife uses a cane and we had to go down one flight of stairs.
We used the coffee shop for lunch once and for gelato but we did not use the restaurant. We ate our meals at local pizzarias and restaurants which were quite nice. Via Nazionale is convenient to a number of sights as well as shopping. We walked to the Forum and to Piazza Republica. There is a good bookstore up the street as well as a McDonalds if you really need a burger. The metro stop is at the Piazza. Lots of buses run on Via Nazionale so you can get around very easily. Always be careful on the metro.
Real good value for the money paid!
The best four star hotel I found during the past 2 years working in Rome is definitively the Artemide hotel. The large rooms come with nice decoration, decent bathrooms and a free mini-bar (soft-drinks, beer and water). The hotel has an excellent coffee shop with a nice variety of sandwiches and pastries. Upon check-in the guests receive coupons for a free drink in the bar or coffee shop. The restaurant serves basic Italian dishes but the quality is outstanding. This quality is also reflected in the room-service and breakfast. The hotel has rooms on the side of the Via Nazionale which are rather noisy but offer a nice view.
Rooms at the back are really quit but without any view. Only negative point is that the restaurant is closed in the evening, but on the other hand that gives you the opportunity to visit one of the many restaurants around the Via Nazionale. Summary: Real good value for the money paid!
Good price excellent service
I think that this hotel is very good for business traveller. Great coffee and cappuccino in the "Caffetteria" and good price for food at lunch and dinner. Finally, a free internet point in the lobby with a b/w printer.
An absolutely wonderful hotel!!
The hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The people were very congenial and always helpful. The rooms were tastefully decorated with lots of space and high ceilings. There is also a delicious adjoining cafe which had great coffees and cappuchinos.I wopuld definately reccommend this hotel for anyone who wants a nice, relaxful hotel.

Today, I woke up at 6:00 am, and started to head off to my 7 o'clock scheduled trip around Rome. We first started off by visiting the Sistine Chapel, and looked at Michelangelo's masterpiece. Then we walked around St. Peters Basilica, it's one of Italy's famous churches. Of course, we visited the Colosseum, one of Rome's famous landmarks. Then …
Today, I headed to Piazza del Popolo to start off my pompeii journey. We first hiked the famous Mount Vesuvius, and walked along the crater. For those who don't know, Mount vesuvius is the famous volcano that erupted, and destroyed the ancient city, Pompeii. We then visited the Naples and had Pizza for lunch. Finally, we toured around the ancient …
We landed in in Rome, Italy at 10:40 pm on 6/10/15. It only took us 5 hours and 5 min to travel from Oslo Norway to Rome. That traveling time was nothing compared to our other flights. Since it was already late at night we decided hop in a cab and go to our hotel. It was a 33 minute cab ride (cost: $22 distance: 21.8miles) to the Artemide Hotel, …
