          ... we watched a movie called Vacation which is based on the older movies National Lampoons. Jenna didn't like it but I actually thought it was quite funny so I enjoyed it. Tomorrow is a special day as it is Jenna's birthday. It is a shame everything is so expensive in Switzerland otherwise we would go out for tea and have a few drinks but I'm sorry but I'm not paying 16CHF at the local restaurant for a bowl of spaghetti bolognase, so we will go out for tea in Italy ...

          ... to the top ...first stop Gimmelwald ...not ver high at all 4485 ft next Murren 5374 ft gondola ....Birg 8783 ft we're talkin....chill for a bit here and have a beer's so hot up here surprised, thought it would have cooled down a bit up here ...the skyline walk opens up new perspectives, the platform (which is a bit scary) is situated over a vertical precipice ...very exhilarating ....the panorama breathtaking !!! ok up some more .... next gondola ...up ...

          ... sure I was well dressed for the cold.

          As I left Darmstadt my satnav said I would arrive into Lauterbrunnen at about 15H30 which means its going to take me just over 6 hours to do the journey, however something just did not seem right with the timings and that was the time.

          While on the ferry my phone adjusted its time to European time and so all seemed to be great. But while riding along the motorway I noticed my bikes clock ...

          ... plummets down is at a rate of 5,000 gallons a second. A very impressive waterfall.

          Needless to say after the 11 mile hike from yesterday and the 12 mile hike from today we were beginning to get very tired. We walked back to Lauterbrunnen to catch the train back to Wengen. After this day, I was ready to leave the alps and head to city life. Next stop Paris, ...

          We're getting quite casual with our train travel and are managing time tables and switching platforms, etc. with grace and efficiency and feel pretty good about ourselves. So, with ease we lollied back on the train like we'd been doing it for years (well, I may have exaggerated, but we're getting better)
