... drop was a thrill! We then walked back through a light drizzle to our hotel. We had another delicious dinner that was enhanced by a sudden power outage. The staff quickly provided candles, which made the ambience even sweeter--so much so that when the power came back on, the staff quickly dimmed the electric lights. A great day, and another place we hate to leave so soon. Karen was fomenting rebellion, suggesting that we just ignore the "bus leaves at 8:30 am" notice. She had lots of takers! ...

The beauty of my surroundings has ...

... we elected to forgo restaurant food and instead dined on wine, cheese, bread, and chocolate on our second floor balcony with a view of the 500 foot Staubach Falls and the glacier clad Jungfrau looming above the valley. Speaking of costs, gasoline in Europe is about €1.75 Euros per liter (about $8/gallon). Cars are appropriately sized, with miniature Subarus and other models we have never seen in the states. No Hummers, large pickup trucks, and very few RVs on ...

Not as cold as we anticipated so we will be able to get out and about tomorrow for Lauren's birthday.

    Goodnight all x

    Happy Birthday to Lauren!

We had a lazy morning which included a nice breakfast in our cabin and a walk around the campground. We walked into Lauterbrunnen town which is a 5 min walk away from the camp and grabbed a really ...
