    ... was the 6th largest flood in the history of Venice. The water reached as high as 5 feet!

    Today, my class got cancelled! I celebrated by taking an extra long shower, and also by going to the Museo Bargello. I pass it every day on my way home, and I had no idea it was there! It is one of the largest sculpture museums in Florence, and is also a former palace!

    Well we left Grenoble in a great mood, the wonderful staff saw us off, we had clean clothes and all seemed well in the world.

    The drive through the Rhône-Alpes region was great, some really long tunnels - up to 15 km long, poor daddy C had to drive this and he hates tunnels. We hit Italy and stopped for fuel at this great service station, the attendant filled the car, the dads had a espresso and I watched the car, a good start to my first taste of Italy.
