    ... good, they told them to get off. The park has numbered attractions, some with volunteers in costume showing people how things worked. Thatched cottages and barns and farm operations. There were beehives including a couple in a transparent cabinet in a shed so you could the hive working. There were transparent tunnels for the bees to go outside. There were chickens and pigs and hairy goats and sheep like our Melanie but with much skinnier legs. There were some shops ...

    I started to leave at the right time as the rain got really bad. I then aqua glided all the way to Cologne. I was staying in an apartment building on the outskirts of cologne.     ... This windmill from Delft, from 1696, had been originally used to grind flour but was no longer in operation for that purpose. They did have the sails unfurled and the blades were turning quite rapidly. From the second floor of the windmill, we got a splendid view back over the central town area of the museum with its cluster of brightly colored houses, surrounded by a canal.     ... gardens must have covered about 4 acres and so many fountains, statues and hedge plantings to blow the mind! On my way to get to the garden I took a wrong turn and fortuitously found a small "Shell Grotto" about 6 metters in diameter where the walls, floor, ceiling and ornamentation were all covered in shells of various types, size and colour.

    A fascinating afternoon, quick look at the town of Arnhem and then back on board to set sail at dinner time! Interesting ...
