... a browse through their beer selection and as I was doing so the waitress extolled the virtues of the Aventinus Eisbock.
She said it was a 12% beer that still had a Belgian fruity quality but with the 12% kick.
Had to give it a go and after half a glass on top of the 9% tripel I just had before am really feeling that kick as I write this!!!
Lucky she gave me some bread and crisps to go with the beer...
... 8217;ai chi-like tourist photos for us, though…). Afterward, we stopped at small sidewalk café for hot tea for both of us (you know Murray is sick when he foregoes beer for tea!), with a view of the tower right in front of us. I also ate some dry biscuits, which seemed to do alright. (Too bad – no "pizza in Pisa" for us, which I have pictures of doing from when I was here with my family several years ago!)
After ...

... whatever we wanted from that room... This was at 3pm too, not like we arrived at some weird hour.
The "dorm" was just an apartment with 6 beds in 1 room, a kitchen and 4 beds in the room joined to the kitchen with no door between - check out the photos on facebook.
Glad we booked the cheaper 6 bed dorm and not the more expensive 4 bed!!!
Found out later that day they have another "dorm" downstairs with a 6 bed room and a double bed in ...
Hi Everyone!
After the miserable week of midterms…
I celebrated a friend's birthday at a restaurant called Dantes. It caters to students, as there is no cover charge and a free drink included with the meal. I can honestly say the food was delicious. We had a large group so it was a lot of fun. I think the birthday girl, Davita also had a good time celebrating her 21st in ...
... 700s). Two more hours of waiting and 5minutes of pointing with a man behind a glass window it was over. Great news though…my follow up appointment isn’t for another month- can’t wait!
Thursday: Had my first exam in Italian II… we’ll see how that one went- In the afternoon for my art class we went to the Duomo Museum (Museo dell’Opera del Duomo). It’s the Cathedral’s museum located ...
... was nice. This time I was staying in an all girls dorm room! Exhausted I checked in and ate dinner at 9:30 and then crashed in bed at 11. I slept till 10 which is not normal for me and decided to stay in Pisa instead of going to Chinqenterra because a day of rest in a small village sounded amazing. when I woke up fully rested i met a girl named Sophia from Sweden. We went to a cafe for crossaints and cappacino and then took a walk to sit and rest in the botanical garden ...
Pisa, Tuscany, Italy sammyjo199... you could actually see the veins in his hands and neck. I have no idea how you could ever sculpt that. Here is an interesting fact about it: it was originally supposed to be placed on the façade of a church, so when you are fairly close to it, his hands and feet appear large, yet seen from far below all would appear in perfect proportion. I just don't know how you figure out the math to do that. In the Academia they also ...
Pisa, Tuscany, Italy hithere52... places. It was funny because I ordered the house wine and he plopped a full 1.5 liter bottle in front of me. I just kept drinking and drinking, but stopped at where there was a line. I later found out that they measure what you drink so I actually paid the price I expected. It was cheap for a real pizza from pisa as well. Prosciutto and mushrooms. I got back before the hostel locked up for the night. They were already asleep. I could barely tell because they had the sheets over their ...
Pisa, Tuscany, Italy bsuarez... time ago that connected to the sea. Pisa's church was very cool the inside of the church was very pretty and decorated in gold. The church was the largest at the time it was built the architect that was said to be better than Odysseus and the guy that slain the Minotaur in the labyrinth and made it out, because he used math from the Moors to build the cathedral. He got monoliths from the surrounding marble quarries and he developed a way to lift ...
