In a nutshell- Cousin Corrado took us all over Lake Como, including to the castle where they filmed Casino Royale, and George Clooney's place! He took us up the mountain side. We always thought that we were at the top, but then we went higher! We went for a walk around the area. We went down to S. Segmente for an expresso and then up into the hills. We also went to Lugano Lido where Corrado works in Switzerland for a fun day of swimming. The ...

We had a relaxed day today getting sorted for breakfast at 10 am ish and then the owner of the campsite kindly offered Jess a bike for free. So after a major organisation of gear.(this is how the ladies roll) we decided to go on a ride around some of the lake. It looked lovely with some huge mountains surrounding the huge lake. We cycled to an amazing old church called Santa Maria del Tiglio in Gravedona on the lake it's a great little gem built around ...

We ordered a little nightcap and watched few songs before they went on break. Amy said everyone else in the room (70+) looked positively bored, she looked over at me and said I had the ...

... even easy to find how to enter. They really didn't speak English in there but understood that we wanted to know if we could come in for dinner. I might have done some hand to mouth gesturing like I was shoveling food in my mouth with a spoon. I may not speak Italian, but I do know how to gesture! :) She led us to the corner table - and NO ONE was in there. It didn't seem too promising, but we were hungry. Then two shady business men walked in who were trying ...

We were very excited about the planned activities in Venice this morning and early afternoon. We learnt there is 2 Venices ~ Venice the island with all the canals and buildings like we see on TV; and also Venice the city back on the mainland. There are apparently 118 islands in Venice, most very small. First up we were driven to the mainland Venice harbour wharf to board a long taxi / passenger boat which ferried us out and around to Venice Island. It looked old yet magical as ...
