... affiliated with the Hotel Rosa Alpina. Chris and I agree that it is the single best family hotel we have ever encountered. It's beautiful and charming but not stuffy and staff are just beyond wonderful; terrific bar with piano player, fantastic pool and spa and 2 restaurants (one has 2 Michelin stars). Kids are totally welcome and catered to; I cannot recommend this property enough.

The shows in Brixen however did not reflect the niceness of our accommodation. I have never met ruder children!! Oh well - I guess they're teenagers!

We had a trip up to Ploser, approx 2500m high and the views were stunning!

Off to Innsbruck on Thursday where we will be joined by boyfriends, girlfriends and family!! So ...

... through it. There isn't much to do here apart from walk up to the Schloss on top of the hill at one end of town. But luckily, the weather has been kind to us and on Sunday there was blasting sunshine!

We met with a friend, David Taylor, who also works for Vienna's English Theatre and went to dinner with him. His knowledge of Austria is incredible and he has enough anecdotes that could last for days! A very nice evening had by all.

Nice crisp morning at -1deg. Sat in front row of bus today and got great pics of snow coming out of Austria. Kevin, the tour director talked heaps about what to expect in Italy. He is a great leader. Most beautiful scenery on the trip and I was lucky to be in the front seat to get awesome ...

... br> The road continued but there were signs saying no vehicles and so I parked up and went on a mission. The road went on for quite a few km and even crossed a few rivers. I was so tempted to go back and get my bike and bring it up here and get a few shots of it riding through the river crossings. At the end of the day who's going to say anything to me??

I decided against bringing the bike up here and so simply headed back to the hotel.
