    ... has a beautiful harbour ringed by colourful buildings, restaurants and ice cream parlours. We were all so desperate for a swim in the beautiful sea - but there was no beach! We went for a walk up to the castle, which gave us some beautiful views.     We took the little train (like a big toy train). See photo with Angela beside it around Nice what a great way to see the main sites. We went up to the Parc du Château which is up a hill in the old city (Vieux Nice). The view from the top is amazing, with a man made waterfall. It is a wonder that the train with 4 or 5 carriages can go up the windy steep roads. One thing we have noticed is the number of dogs (lots) mainly small ones and the number of people ...

    ... But it was free...there was no way you could pay. It's only 1.50 Euros anyway. From Eze sur Mer we had to take another bus up the mountain to the village, with many hairpin turns. It is a lovely town with the typical narrow streets with fabulous views. At the very top is the Jardin Exotique, a garden full of cacti and succulents from the Mediterranean area, Africa and the Americas. There are beautiful sculptures done by one artist but I didn't get his name. ...

Michelle decided that the first thing when she gets home is use her panini maker and making herself a good sandwich with proper bacon.
