There were some truly incredible dancers to watch and being stoned watching salsa is almost as good as being stoned and watching the Planet Earth series. ... went to 2 different bathing spots and also did a side trip to see some waterfalls which were also lovely. The first spot also had a nice 5m high rock to jump off and have some fun and it is possible to rent ringo’s and float down the river Tubing Vang Vieng style also! Most people just came for the day so the evening was completely dead and we even struggled to find a place serving food in the evening! We finished the night with a couple of well-deserved beers whilst ...

... the parade. Floats linger long and move slowly down the wide avenue, with bands and different salsa clubs and schools (the best to watch were the kids; over 20 at a time dancing complicated salsa steps in perfect synchronicity, the guys throwing the girls in the air and all lightning quick and full of energy). A disturbance directly behind us draws much attention and the riot police appear along with ...
