    ... There were 3 of us and our guide. Calin (from Romania), Kev and myself set of with Karina. Our first stop was Christo Rey, a statue located at the top of the hill in Cali. We drove with Karina which saved our legs big time. It would have been quite a trek. Here Karina pointed out the various barrios of the city as well as view points and places she would be taking us. There's an awesome old tree (one of the coolest I've ever seen; didn't have my phone with me but I'll return for photos because I want to see the spot I messed up my feet) in the park so we climbed it and smoked and shot the **** for an hour or so.     ... crossing was hassle free. We soon realised, as we drove through scenic rolling hills, that Colombia has an incredibly high police presence, with lots of police checkpoints along the roads - oh and they are all well armed of course!
