The breakfast buffet at our hotel was interesting to say the least. There was a plate of uncooked bacon that people were helping themselves to. Safe or not, it didn't exactly appeal! There were also random bowls of green peppers ...

The USA ploughed a huge amount of money to help this area be redeveloped after the war. Tito was a dictator but the people loved him overall as he was not a typical dictator ...
Neither of us had any expectations of Slovenia so didn't know what to expect, we had originally struggled to find a campsite in the area but on further investigation we found Camping Kekec so headed for it. Its at the foot of Mountain Pohorje in Maribor and has stunning views, we had stunning views throughout our journey through Slovenia.
Maribor is famous for having the oldest Vine in the world, over 400 years old and therefore is also a fairly well ...
... on the balcony of their room and went to bed in good time so we could get a good start.
Willow had come up with a slightly mad plan to get Sarajevo back on the plan. We drove for 400 miles through 2 countries ,Slovakia and Austria and into a third,Slovenia. We found a good hotel. Had a proper Pizza from a wood fuelled oven and a good nights sleep.
