... could see what was happening. Then we went to the tasting area. There were lots to try and it was a help yourself deal so help ourselves we did! The next one we visited, Fukubijin, was like a small shop and had no tasting (boooooo!) but we bought a small bottle from here. The next place, Saijotsuru, had tastings and a very helpful lady who told us about different sake types. I couldn't resist getting a small bottle of plum sake. Then we found the last ...

... I did see some really good discounts! After that we went to another part of the town that was very beautiful! It looked very old Japanese styled. It reminded me of an old martial arts movie. I mean hey, checkout is usually at 11AM and there's nothing I'm just dying to go do during the daylight hours with no wind. The food here has been awesome pretty much everywhere so I'm pretty certain no matter where we are or what time we arrive we ...

... is a speciality of the area. It reminded James of Benedictine. So, back to Island to brave the baths - luckily we could check in early too, so we went to our room to gather ourselves. The baths were bonkers. To cut a long story short they involved alternately crawling into human clay ovens, running into the freezing sea and soaking in some rather unclean-looking leaf-filled baths. The area itself looked like an unfinished worksite and there was a line ...
