      Went to bunny Island aka Okunishima poison gas facility. A very interesting place, the rabbits came about as they are the survivors after the release of the poison gas after the war. They are ridiculously tame and actually run towards you begging for food. David bought us some bags of bunny food and we have a great time feeding the little critters, well we did, Scott wouldn't. On the walk around we had a look at the poison gas museum. Wow ...

      ... opened up and the weather brought extreme winds and rain. It was time to bale out. Unfortunately we were just short of the Tatara bridge but as we crossed by bus and the weather was ferocious we were ok by this. We headed for Matsuyama, a traditional onsen town, for some R&R knowing that one day we would come and complete the Shimano Kaido.
