      ... green and I can't describe how awful I felt. In half an hours time my family were burying my Gran in Parkes and I was in Japan facing 'sakana'. Instead we went out to Sunset Beach and held a minutes silence. It was so peaceful and quiet with only one boat out on the horizon. I think quite a few Japanese tourists take up this opportunity because most of them would never own a kimono - they are horrendously expensive ($1500 to.....pick a number, any number, just make sure it's a very large one), and my guess is that there are not a lot of opportunities to wear a kimono ...

As dusk fell we headed to a quaint riverside town to witness cormorant fishing. Birds on leashes, diving for fish from ancient looking boats.
