    In search of Ewoks!

After saying goodbye to my parents, we drove over to the coast via HWY 199 then to 101 to Arcada. We stopped along the way, enjoying the rain, and fog in the trees. We stopped along the way at Stout Grove (no Ewoks were out) then lunched in Crescent City, stopped at Trees of Mystery, and Fern Canyon. We were charged by a elk and forded three …

Morgonen gryr över Redding. Det är redan gassande varmt i Sacramentodalen.
Det krävs bara ett par kilometer körning innan vi åter igen befinner oss i bergen. Gårdagens "plattland" har tagit slut.

The next morning was time for goodbyes. I packed up the car and, with some trepidation, headed ...

... 10 feet tall, cool old suspension bridges and even a pair of banana slugs getting busy. The coast was covered by a light fog and littered with rocks jutting out of the water. It was a beautiful hike. From there we set out for Battery Point Lighthouse, a functioning light house just north in Cresent City. You have to park and walk a quarter mile to the lighthouse because the old road has been washed out and the operator’s private residence is ...

Started out today around 7:30am and ended with 324 miles. We are now in CALIFORNIA! Arcata which is just north of Eureka. We seem to go from one exreme to the next. I don't think it got above 65 all day, knew this though since we are in northern CA. Our first stop was to visit the Sea Lion Caves in Florence, OR. We went down an elevator to view them, pretty neat to see all them laying around on ...
