Wish we had more time here - it's really quaint with an old school bath with shower. The decor and corridors remind me of The Shining a little - bit creepy, but cosy. Clean rooms, plenty of towels and breakfast.
Outside is very noisy (as expected) and not great after dark - loads of people lingering. But hotel is nice. Just wish it had been a bit cooler so we didn't have to open the window - fan wasn't very strong.

The direction of the wind was telling me to go to Olympic National Park (ONP) which is located in the NW portion of Washington state. From Kalispell, it was pretty much a straight shot on Highway 2 for about 7 - 8 hours. However, after doing a quick park status check online, there apparently were some road and campground closures leading in and within the park due to wildfires. Wait a minute - isn't ONP a rainforest? Well, Washington much like ...
We left Oregon and the kittens (reluctantly) and Sarah came along in her truck which was super exciting! We made our first stop at the store in Ashland, Oregon where Sarah displays her clothing line and merchandise for her company, Rage Life. Like anything? You can buy these cool clothes if you would like, I will be happy to give you her information! We had lunch and continued on to California and through to the Redwood Forest, ...
... shop woman and then drove to a dune entrance. The place is quality there are dunes all around with a lake in the middle and it’s pretty quiet. It was good fun and I managed to pick it up relatively quickly, towards the end the only reason I was only falling down was because once waxed the board was so quick I thought I was going to go in the lake. It was hot and after a bit climbing up and down the dune was becoming a bit of a chore so we did it a few more times as it began to ...
... Drove through the chandelier redwood tree - video attached. Lots of cyclists doing this road - hats off to them for the street gradients and tight turns and with fast traffic. So Eureka - I think we saw the wrong end of it and the hotel was comfy and clean but the manager was not great (travel lodge) and the view of garages and smell of rotting fish on arrival didn't really help. We left about 9 50 ish on the road to Gold Beach. ...
We stopped briefly in Eureka and visited Humboldt State University. How fickle is life? I almost went to HSU instead of CSU, Chico. Had I done that, I would not have met Maria Elena and I would not have had Bradlito. Wow, life could have been so different. Thank God that fate ...
