Morgonen gryr över Redding. Det är redan gassande varmt i Sacramentodalen.

... so we couldn't explore some of the more backcountry areas of this park. But there was enough along the road. The next stop was at the Big Tree Wayside. The trail led us to several large trees and tree groups, the largest being the "Big Tree". And it was- big. Superlatives start sounding all the same, but the amazement at these trees never seemed to wane.

What an amazing day! But I'll get to that.
So my last night in LA we went to an outdoor showing of A Clockwork Orange at the Hollywood cemetery. It was very enjoyable, a really nice chilled evening. We had a picnic before the film and it was lovely and warm even when the sun went down.

I enjoyed the tunes and tolerated The Scene while Kaitlyn dozed off in a corner booth. We left downtown Arcata well after bar time with plans to leave in the morning, not exactly the night Kaitlyn and I had envisioned.
