Today was all about the rowing because it was the day of Curtis' final. Brad wanted to set off extra early to get a park and seat on the stand. It was obvious that he was very nervous too. We were at the rowing just after 10, with the B finals only kicking off at 12. We found a great spot on the lake but also with a good view of the big screen. From here, Adam, Hannah and I watched the B and then the A finals. In between we read our ...

Today I skipped the run, and the other girls decided to go for a walk instead. After breakfast we headed to the rowing for the first day of finals. We left Annecy at 5pm and went via Aix Les Baines so that Lauren could say hello to ...

A great spot to be based for skiing locally... We took the high road back around the lake, climbing 600m into some absolutely classic Rhone Alpes landscape, dotted with very Swiss style mountain villages and massive limestone peaks all around ...

... at the end of Lake Annecy. There is a very similar feel to Queenstown with the long lake and mountains all around. Our accommodation is above a pharmacy, across the road from a Shopi (small supermarket) and across the road the other way from a small restaurant. We got ourselves settled, then headed off to explore. 5 minutes later, we had explored, so popped into the local bar/cafe for a drink. We met one ...
