... cheese. It was divine, as usual, but still not quite enough to topple the beautiful pizza from Eataly. 8.5/10. I also indulged in the leftovers of Marina’s pasta dish, a Cioccolata Fondente, and a gelato affogato and Limoncello after returning home.

... courtyard was packed like sardines with visitors trying to grope the breast of the bronze statue of Juliet, which is supposed to bring good luck. The crowd kept growing by the minute, so we didn't hang around long.

We moved on to Piazza dei Signori, where the statue of Dante Aligheri stands alone, before heading back to the car to move on to the next stop.

Nothing was planned for the morning so we decided to take a walk around the local neighbourhood. We checked out the daily markets and also wandered around a small supermarket checking out the different products available.

We spent the morning visiting some of the city sights, starting with a drive up to Villa della Regina (former residence of the Queen) on the hills over-looking the city. After a wander through the grounds we headed into Turin itself for a walk around the city centre, taking in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Piazza Castello, Palazzo Reale & Piazza San Carlo.

We were apparently near the main centre so we walked in that direction and came across a busier area with shops etc. We popped into a few as we walked along but I can’t say that the Italian fashion really appealed to me.
