... plastic bottles around the edges. They were obviously expecting stormy weather. They left great heaps of rubbish all over the site.

We visited Aveiro the nearest town which lived up to its publicity we took the one photograph of their famous boats which was all the brochure had to offer.

We have become a novelty attraction as there are no other British around. After the activities of the weekend we moved on.

Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal mikeandsuecuff... looked like there was no order to the waves and they were crashing all over the place. The sea looked angry that day my friends. The next day, we spotted some surfers and set out to rent some boards but all the surf shops were closed (because all the owners were out surfing). The super cheap ghetto tourist shops that sell **** were open, so we opted for 2 hardcore boogie boards ...
Aveiro, Beiras, Portugal sofenjon... have seen a group of people so pale in all their life. Wherever we go, we feel as though the papparazzi is watching. We are still having a nice time just relaxing. There is a beautiful 15 km wooden walkway along the ocean that we have been enjoying everyday. There is also a community pool with a playground that the kids have been taking advantage of. For the most part we are just ...
Granja, Portugal patry... hours in which my host in Porto, José Martins, and I struggled to meet each other. I would have a number of such instances as Satan was really attempting to destroy the success of this trip, but God always intervened. I observed the Sabbath on April 4 in the home of José Martins, who is a long-standing member, and his family, namely his wife, Rosa ...
Porto, Northern Portugal, Portugal jorgedecamposDay 4 – 25/12/08

LISBON-EVORA-ALCOBACA-B ATALHA-FATIMA-COIMBRA

We left early after breakfast. The GPS proved to be blessing for 'wrong' drivers like me. As it was Christmas there was less traffic on the roads & we had a smooth drive to Evora. There we saw the Roman Temple, the church & the Chapel of St.Francis. The sleepy town had narrow lanes ...
Coimbra, Beiras, Portugal savla78... keltide ajal. Roomlased seadsid ennast sisse 1. saj pKr, mil see kasvas ja õitses suureks linnaks. 3. saj olid elanikud ohustatud sissetungijate eest ning ehitasid enda kaitseks linnale kaitsvad müürid ümber. Kahjuks polnud see piisav sueevidele (germaani hõimude rühmale), kellel õnnestus 468.a vallutada linn. Kohalikud põgenesid Coimbrasse, säästes sellega Conímbrigat suuremast hävingust. Seetõttu võib ...
Conimbriga, Beiras, Portugal pille...

Coimbra, Beiras, Portugal pillePortugali Veneetsia?
Aveiro, Beiras, Portugal pilleI woke up late this morning for breakfast because the power in my hotel room went out sometime through the course of the night. I had to rush to shower & get my things together for the day. Not a great way to start things off, but I got it done. So after breakfast, we met up with a local architect who showed us around the city for most of the morning. Since Oporto is located in between two mountains, there is not a level street anywhere in ...
Oporto, Portugal aaronm58... a friend, and on the bus we met two nursing students who live there. They were very friendly, took us to their house, fed us dinner, and gave us a place to sleep.

Now I'm in Coimbra, and I came here to see a forest. I should actually be going now to catch my bus. If this internet connection weren't so slow this letter would be longer. It took me a whole hour to read the 15 letters I had (50 minutes waiting, 10 minutes reading). More later
