As a hotel guest, they give me ticket for free travelling around the city. The city separated by the lake. Almost every shops selling watches. I don't understand why people buy expensive watch which the same value to buy a car. can any one tell me?.
... a New Year's Eve in Venice....so I tagged along. It is incredible how long can it take for the time to come around and start your journey. And when you are there, the time flies! I can't wait to begin this year adventure, but until the time comes, I'll wait.
Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland wpabon... all congratulated Daniel on his new start in life. We changed out of our wet clothes in the woods at the wat**s edge and hiked back up the steep hill side to the cars.
The drive back to Trélex was I think even more beautiful. The sun was setting and lights coming on in the mountains. We drove back along the chemin des montagnes, the mountain trail that parallels the crest of the Jura and goes through miles of Alpage meadows. As we descended ...
Lausanne
Jour 1
J'adore Lausanne. Nous sommes all ...
... We still had a good amount of time left over before our train, and we had covered pretty much all of Old Town, so we hopped on a tram to visit the “Smurfs.” Sadly, I didn’t see any pint-sized blue-skinned people, but they wouldn’t have been out of place: we had successfully discovered another building of the school of what I’ve eloquently dubbed, “Gaudí-on-crack.” Despite the craziness of the place ...
Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland cmvanacker... Point, only to discover that there was no cheap accomodation left and the only places available was 4 and 5 star hotels. So long chat on the phone to Lucy's mum and she said she would pay for us to stay in a nice hotel and send her the bill. What a treat! Lausanne was a really charming city with an excellent atmosphere and wonderfully clean air. So despite staying there for a short peroid of time, I cant wait to go back!
Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland teacorn... is where John Calvin taught and worshipped! Let me tell you, this was a jaw-dropping experience. We have seen so many churches on this trip, and this was our first Protestant one. Greg, the staunch predestinationist that he is, especially was loving it. We walked around this beautiful church for a bit, taking in the architecture and pictures, and even getting some time to reflect & pray... It was also cool because there were not that many tourists there. Around noon, we left the ...

... we found out that Rainer Maria Rilke was buried in a small town about an hour from where we were, so we made a small pilgrimage. As you would expect, RMR is buried in a beautiful, medieval-looking church at the very top of a steep hill in a tiny, picturesque town in the German part of Switzerland. We had to climb a thin, winding, steep cobblestone street in a twist through the village up to ...
