Oh what a luxury, we have just had two rest days in a row. We haven't had this sort of pampering in almost a month! For the first time, our quads have fully relaxed, and the gentle but ever-present mild burning sensation has ceased. I could get used to this. So we decided on the 'wait and see' option. We packed up and ate breakfast inside the tent, and headed to the restaurant for cappuccinos. By this time, the rain was finally easing ...

... his apartment in Grenoble, France. He's been living there for work and wasn't leaving for another few weeks. He said there were beautiful mountains and plenty of hiking, exactly what I need. So I took that offer and stuck it in my pocket, waiting to figure out my next 24 hours before the next two weeks.

The next 6.5 hours were spent riding around, seeing all the things I had missed in the rain, and even revisiting ones that looked like completely different ...
