After a whirlwind trip to the south of France, my parents and I are heading back to Geneva to catch our flight home on Wednesday. Since we had plenty of time, we decided to take a small detour to the east side of Avignon to visit the Lavender Museum.

This turned out to be an incredibly fascinating and soothing adventure. We were able to learn all about lavender, it's different types, what it needs to grow, and how it is distilled ...

... glancing at my watch every five seconds. It finally hit midnight, and I felt my chest tighten. The doors opened and I heard "Olten" over the speakers, along with a platform number. Honestly, I'm pretty sure it was neither French nor German, so it did me no good. I started to sprint past people in the escalator, seeing my train on the other side of the station. I'm pretty sure everyone just saw a giant backpack flying through the station, because I don't know if I've ...

... walked to France one sunny afternoon.

The days went by too fast. Our new friends never tired and we were always up for a new adventure with them. The only negative of inn or house sitting in Switzerland is the cost of living. On our one trip into Geneva we ended up paying over $20 for a couple of lattes. You could ...
