Arrived on time and bought a Dutch sim card for my phone. I'll be here for a while and lots of people to contact and it will be handy for transport apps to have a bit of data too. Then off to get a transport card for travelling on the trains and maybe buses too.

I found the right train with one change at Zwolle and then Rosa met me at Groningen train station.

It is great to be here and it is sunny and warm!

They too were planning to cycle the 32 km land bridge, but due to their tight schedule they had to complete it the next day, rain, headwind or sunshine.

Unfortunately in the morning we all woke to headwinds & rain! While we had the privilege and flexibility to wait out the ...

... it is downright miserable there! So once again we are packing for multiple seasons!

After 10 months on the road, and having missed a number of birthdays, as well as Christmas, we have an astounding array of things that have to go back to Oz, so now we have to sort out and prioritize what goes home now and what will stay in the car. It took a day and a half to finish sorting, but finally it was done.

All that is left to do is to catch the train to the ...
