Budapest highlights then start the 23 hour cruise to Vienna. At 2,600km, the Danube is the second longest river in Europe (after the Volta). It's quite shallow and typically there's only 1.5 m of water under our keel. Before the snow melt, it's too shallow for the cruise ships in Jan and Feb. The Treasury building also housed the Library of Gyor which was impressive. I wasn't able to take pics in the baroque library in Eger so I took some here even though it was not allowed.
... There were grape presses, ancient and old manuscripts with seals of all shapes and sizes, many weapons, uniforms, and armour from all ages, some with very large holes in them. I only wished I could read the information about each artefact. To our surprise many of the artefacts were just sitting on tables. We did have a lady following us , I guess to make sure we didn't break anything or touch it for that matter .
