100km on fairly mixed roads took us to
the little town of Oriahovo where we were to get a ferry across the
Danube to Romania. Arriving at 10-30am meant that we had some time
to kill until the ferry was due to depart at noon. Apart from a

Surprisingly we were up and out sharp this morning even though Logan hadn't had his morning coffee! We were about 1km away from Poenari Fort so were there at 9:30 ready to climb up to the fort on the hill. ...for my birthday: 1) Get in a nice cool run. Check. 2) Paint my toenails. Check. 3) Spend some time alone in a cemetery. Check. And the birthday lagniappe?
