After lunch we headed to the Geibi Gorge. This area is known for its fantastically-shaped rock formations towering high above the Satetsu River. Honestly,....we were about a week early. The cherry blossoms were just barely visible as you can see in the picture to the left.

Also reading students (not the three caught on train) journal entries described their feelings of concern.
