... fields in the 19th century, they kept digging up bones and skeletons from as far back as the 15th century of men who had been killed in the many wars and buried where they fell. The bones and skeletons (of some thousands of bodies) were all moved to a chapel and rather than reburying them, they decorated the chapel in a very ornate manner with the skulls, bones and skeletons. Interesting concept but not suitable if you believe in an after life that includes the body.

... Following day was walking around and sight seeing and trying to walk off all the food, we had dinner in a old style Czech restaurant - goulash and dumplings for NZD8 - this to was in a 1,000 year old cellar - we then had a nightcap at Cloud 9 which we got to via a bicycle rickshaw - the most dangerous thing we have done this trip.

Cloud 9 is located nine stories up in the Hilton so you can see all of Prague - to get to the bar ...

... very natural . . . but the laws of physics still hold. After a while you learn to brake earlier, indicate earlier and move out earlier. Things tend to come up very fast at 150 - god knows what its like at 300km/h!!! Anyway, we survived the trip, bought our vignette (toll pass) at the Hungarian border got used to the car telling us that the front right tyre was deflated - I checked, it wasn't - and arrived on the outskirts of Prague. ... of people, food stands and shops set up. There is specific Czech bread roll called Trdelnik,or Trdlo which is rolled in cinnamon and sugar. I just had to try one because they were haunting me every where we went. The tour was fabulous as usual, however it looked like it was about to pour the whole time. Luckily it didn't!
