... rather easy to get a bit lost without a map. Very easy to cover a lot of features in a relatively small amount of time. Thanks Ros, the book is invaluable. Place is very busy and interesting with all the food stalls selling local delicacies, some worth eating, others look to be worth avoiding. ... type of animal or creature it was with a fact or two, my most favourite enclosure would have had to been the Elephants they had a great time with a great show from the elephants favourite zoo keeper. The only downer of the hole day was the café’s and food vans, they were way over priced but the food was delicious by the end of the day I was exhausted from going all around the zoo and seeing a massive variety of creatures. ...

... tonight or tomorrow nights train, were now very wet. This is only our third brush with rain that has effected our actual sightseeing. Next we had planned to do the boat trip. ... we went out for dinner at a restaurant I had spied on our travels into the city which was a walk of about a kilometre. The restaurant was called the Imperial hotel and I can thoroughly recommend it if just for the look inside. It was an Art Deco interior with the walls and ceilings totally tiled with various mosaics adorning the walls. ... the like in this town. It is very culturally minded and everywhere were various musical performances in the evening. Most were of classical music. There is a lot of Jazz, Blues and Rock and Roll also.
