A travel blog entry by catherine_sean on Oct 04, 2014

We got up and at a nice breakfast in the hotel, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, a croissant with jam inside, orange juice and coffee. Then we bought a 2 day pass for the water buses, known as Vaporetto, and headed to Murano. In Murano we saw a glass blowing demonstration. The master made a simple vase, then a horse standing up like the evil blue horse at DIA. He made the horse in a ...

Then we caught a bus (by the skin of our teeth) into Venice, and a boat to our hotel. In Venice, very little of the city is accessible by car, so the public transit is mostly boat based. Anyways, we ...

... pieces of history. Next, we moved to St. Mark's Cathedral. Nikki was the only one who toured, because Billy had to walk too far to check in his backpack and missed the tour departure. He elected not to stand in line again. The cathedral had mutiple domes inside with the running theme of painted ceilings and amazing architecture. Supposedly, the resting place of St. Mark was at the front center portion of the cathedral. Nikki saw it from a distance. The chandeliers were ...
