      ... gondolas but they didn't have people on them and when we went on the boataway we passed a place that looked like a castle and it had circle towers. Then we went down another canal and got off the gondola. Then we went to have some lunch, I had a schnitzel sandwich and the twins shared a wrap type thing and Lily had a Parma ham and em menthol sandwich and we were sitting the town square.       ... costume and I wanted to see her try it on. She had tried one yesterday evening but no longer wanted it today. I helped her choose the orange dress which was a complete success today. It just looked perfect on her. Simply stunning. This is her having it fitted.

      I decided I wanted to buy a mask which would double as a souvenir so we went into a store that sold hand made Venetian masks. We had some coffee to round out the morning.

      Fashion and design centre Milano was our last stop in Italy before crossing the border into France. Milan is also the main industrial, commercial and financial hub of the country, so it has a very business-y feel.       ... to) and also found all the tourists. However, we headed away from the main parts and found a nice little place to have brunch then strolled on. After brunch it was definitely busier, but still reasonably cool as the buildings are so close together.
