Also, for the record our arrival here in water Venice - we got asked several times by porters for assistance with bags etc but Craig too stubborn or stupid or both to allow - so this lead to him taking our bags himself up and down many bridges so lots of steps and many narrow alleyways - you can imagine it - crazy Craig appeared for first time on trip which lead us to first argument and not talking - perhaps why his pics are ****** - it took us over an hour ...

    ... earrings! The men were trying hard to keep the kids in control including even getting them gelato, but we still had to cut the shopping short. The guy in the store was learning to make glass, so he made a frog and ladybug while the kids were watching. He said he would give them to us if we came back tomorrow, but sadly we couldn't!     ... though so much is breaking down there. We were surprised by the way the sea encroaches on the town at high tide forcing the tourists to walk on raised platforms. It is a little sad to see folks moving off the island and the buildings sagging as it sinks. But at the same time everywhere you look is breathtaking and romantic.
    We will definitely be back to Italy for more of the sweet life! la dolce vita!
