The one thing that all the islands seem to have in common is blue hydrangeas. They appear to grow wild, in hedges high up in the hills and are quite beautiful. An unusual sight for us as they are very hard to grow in English gardens unless your soil is alkaline!
In a few days I will be flying back to England whilst Peter and the boys take White Rose back to the Mediterranean. It will give me a chance to visit family, and get some Marmite to take back!!!

... the botanical gardens were like the garden of Eden, just gorgeous and they also had a thermal pool. We went to a great look out to see a lake and the drive up was lined with perfectly manicured pink Azaleas bushes that were just breath taking. The whole island is so green and lush with hydrangeas and azaleas everywhere. The climate is just right for tea growing and there is only one other place in Europe you will find tea growing besides here. In the 1800's ...

... or two. Can't take him anywhere! After dinner we were presented with our menus which had been signed by the captain as well as the photo that was taken before dinner which had all our names printed on it.

Ray, John is about $100 up at the casino but that can change at any time.

The best news of the day is that, in spite of 12 to 20 foot waves, my worst fears of sea-sickness have not materialized! Yay!

... knowing it would burn. The second we take a drink of very cold water. It is fresh and clean. The third spout we take a drink and it is sparkling water, what a surprise. Apparently the "spark" comes from the iron in the water. This is all natural. Crazy, could have made a Spritzer!
