... I would have to cycle 70 miles the next day. I am not going to lie, I was scared.
Quote of the day from Alex: "its illegal to wear clothes on a nuddist beach".
Also, a bit of advice, nuddist beaches are full af pretty mental people. Generally though, people who are just walking around thinking "hey, look how much I dont care, whatever man, its natural". So, I´m lying there thinking "who cares how much you care","what you are is mental". We stayed just ...
... seen his face, there was no emotion, there was only shock. Alex was almost sick after taking a look. I suppose, on the plus side, maggots are high in protein and we had been doing alot of cycling. Swings and roundabouts.
When we finally arrived at Tracy´s we where greeted with a crate of beer. Perfect. After we were a little drunk we went on a mission for an internet cafe. The mission ...
... cycling yet. We were supposed to nail 100 miles to make it to Tracy's but after a full day of effort we only managed 75. Anyway, during this epic uphill struggle we encountered a petrol station in the middle of no where. Here they had a hose pipe where we could riskily fill our water bottles. It was at this point i decided to add the quote of the day section.
Whilst Alex was ...
... be worth it. The streets in the villages are so narrow that cars actually scrape your car if it is
parked. We ended up with quite a few scrapes.
We got on the E-15 to Palomares but there is one problem. In Spain they have roundabouts and you have to know exactly where to get off otherwise you get lost. We ended up in the town of Vera and being next door to Palomares we knew we were close. There ...
I had to wean myseft away from the area, and the next day just drove a bit up the coast, past more un(der)-developed beaches at Escullos and El Playazo, and ended up staying in Las Negras, another fishing village which is sleepy by the water-front but with massive construction going on behind it.
Las Negras, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands travellerbruce... louts). There is little or no attempt to meet the Spanish on their terms, to speak Spanish or to respect the Spanish lifestyle. It is interesting that these same people are the ones who complain so bitterly about Britain's immigrant population not living a "British" lifestyle. We have overheard many a conversation in seafront cafes, which have been quite embarrassing. One of the most common topics of ...
Garrucha, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands oldagetravellerSo, In the final minutes to off time, I'm writing to you all. Our first hiccup is reinforcing the ability to travel with Kids. They have both a blood father and me to put up with bless 'em and the whole thing is really complicated. Mum, Dad and Dads Mum have had to go too and fro to the notary (solicitor) to get countless pieces of paper stamped and approved for us to be able to take them out of this country and into another one... bloody crazy really. Lala ...
Arboleas, Spain capnconway... where we are getting a big beautiful room, with a view of the deep blue sea and the surrounding mountains, with two meals at a pretty good buffet included, all for the exorbitant total price of 44 euros a day (which is less than what we paid for a ****** hotel room in Huatulco in Mexico). As we said, time works differently here: the prices stuck in the 80s, and apparently the nearby village was the last refuge of the Spanish Moors (as late as the ...
Mojacar, Spain and Canary Islands taviniJetted back to London from Mumbai and then on to Spain for Tania and Ivan's wedding. Was nice to get back to the land of sit down toilets again. Had a great week eating, drinking and being merry. Nice to be able to leave my bag in one place for the week and chill out by the pool or beach each day as well. The wedding itself went off without a hitch. Lovely chapel, beautiful reception and plenety of food and drink. Tania and Ivan are off to the states for the honeymoon...enjoy!
Mojacar, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands briancrooke... 67% of Spaniards support abortion (for the right reasons). I am still sick. It has been three weeks now!!! I went to the doctor today and she said I have a sinus infection. I am taking medication-ibuprofen and an antibiotic-to cure me...maybe. I love Spain...they have powdered drugs!!! These are great for those of us who are 21 and still cannot swallow pills. Oh, that's just me? Well, fine. They still taste HORRIBLE, and actually, I'd rather be ...
