... our way to another country. This time we had a train journey from Hull to Stansted airport, during which I remembered we needed to check in online. Budget airlines certainly know where to cut costs, and printing off your own boarding card is one thing you can't do on an ipad, not unless you carry around a printer as well. Despite thinking we'd checked in whilst on the train, when we arrived at the airport we were told we had ...

... Switzerland. Lucky enough they would show Belgium - US on the normal tv tonight at 10 pm. At least we had wifi so we could send some messages and have a drink. We stayed for a bit and than went back over the little mountain road. We felt like going for a walk and someone told us that if we walked over the mountain behind the camping the view would be fantastic. So we did and indeed it was pretty good, the real narrow path took ...

... a pretty little village, a former fishing enclave, now a tourist resort. The path out of Las Negras climbs a hill giving excellent views down the coast. The path seemed very busy compared to what we have been used to. After about an hour, we started a descent towards San Pedro with the ruins of the 18th century San Pedro Castle and a 16th century tower coming into view. Cala de San Pedro is described as a delightful bay. The ...

Another circular walk today, up the coast to La Isleta del Moro, a fishing village that still maintains traditional fishing methods. It was inland to the town of Rodalquilar. Up until 1966, gold was mined here and we walked up past the now derelict gold mine. The walk took us through a large mining area evident by the occasional derelict buildings and tunnels going into the rock with signs warning of the danger of entering the mine.

    The path then climbed ...

A super campsite on the beach, warm again at 30C when we arrived but cooling to 23 C overnight. 100 metres to the beach and 50 metres into the village, facilities excellent and pitch sizes huge for Spain. Very full though with a majority of people staying for the long term over the winter with complex set ups, settees and wide screen tv in their awning ...
