    ... just over 6 years ago now. On the way back from our walk to the lighthouse we stopped off at one of the stunning beaches and just lay on the sand, enjoying the patches of sun before we decided to head back to the hostel and settle in.

    First on this trip, Angie and I had a few days to recover ( and defrost from the Canberra/Melbourne winter) in Paris with Kate. Alan still toughing it out at home for a couple of weeks as he has a concert to play. Flew to Lisbon for a great week there. What a fabulous city! So relaxed and laid back.....but I feel sorry for the older residents.....how on earth do they negotiate the hills in the centre of town. ...

    ... best 5 euros I have spent) and enjoyed the next 6 hours on the beach swimming and sleeping. The only downside is that the water was actually very very cold but the burning sun in the blue sky above more than made up for that. Dina was more than happy to jump into the crystal waters as she hadn't been for a swim in almost 4 weeks since we were in Croatia.
