... than the usual tourist tat, you go there. In addition to the two purses from earlier in the day, I ended up purchasing a framed original etching from a local artist's studio (it's pretty small so I could put it in my purse), a scarf, a cool shirt that I know I wouldn't find at Le Chateau, and a gorgeous paper mâché mask. The mask is tiny - one that you hang on the wall - and I bought it at Ca' Macana, which is the shop ...

We spent a few days in a cottage out in the country, in a lovely village near Venice, called Dolo. Dolo is only about 20 minutes on the train from both Venice and Padova, so really very conveniently located to do both cities. ... glass blowing it was very interesting to see how they did it, I would have liked to know abit more on the glass it's self - where did they get it from and watch them making the different colours. Bridget and I purchased far too much glass now I have to cart it around for the next two weeks trying not to break it. I have a feeling that it is a futile attempt. The next island on the tour didn't have much to look at just some churches, the last was famous for lace but ...

... to. I chose Peru. My parents said I couldn't go, but I started raising money by doing a penny drive (literally begging people for coins) and when I had raised a few hundreds dollars that way, my parents saw I was determined to go and gave me their blessing. You can ask me more about GE. I went on five trips with them all over the world. But back to my point... The last GE trip I went on was in 2010; so it's been a while since I've traveled in a large group. I flew to Italy with ...
