... At one point we had to take a ski lift that required you to stand while being dragged along by a rope. Yeo went first and completely wiped out, it was really funny and all the Italians were yelling at him. Then I went and did the exact same thing. It was so embarrassing but hilarious, everyone was laughing. It ended up taking us three times to get the hang of it. After that, we went to the highest point in the ski resort, which was almost 14,000 ft ...

Left Elizabetha lodge & walked along the Lac de Combal. Then straight up ...

Oops, no notes again! Refuge Elena quite new and modern. Large dorms but partitioned into bunks of 4. Located on a high ridge overlooking the valley, where we had a long break and arvo tea. Met some interesting groups of Italians, see the funny hats. It seems that all of Italy has these 2 weeks off, so the trails and refuges are full. Dinner in a lovely dining room, food pasta as usual. ...

... done it. First stop was Stellisee. It afforded magnificent mirror views and Annie soon had a few of the Matterhorn in reflection. A few more tourists to contend with today. Second stop was Grundjisee. It was a long walk of an hour or so and was just on the edge of a small forest so very peaceful.... Until a tribe of tourist groups rolled up. Nature at its finest as the locusts of the ...
