Very moving day. For those of you that don't know, we came here 8 years ago and tom asked me to marry him at Stellisea. And after that we hiked up about 1500-2000 more feet to a place called Unterrothorn which is 10,500 feet. Anyway, we relived that moment today. We didn't realize we needed to take a second gondola to the glacier paradis and accidentally used our ticket. We apologized profusely to the attendant and he kindly let us in through ...

... one of the highest viewing platform in the world at 12,333 feet. The top of the Matterhorn is 14,000 feet high! After our gawking we walked through a tunneled out glacier with some funky ice carvings and a very slow ice slide. The kids loved the chance to go tubing in July! It was fun to see skiers everywhere too. You can ski year round here. Our day continued with a gondola ride half way back down to the town of Furi for a lunch stop. After refueling we hiked to a huge ...
