    ... things or showing you where to park your car, they will do anything for a few euros and they just have a plastic bag of their belongings but they are always smiling and polite when they approach. Never seen any trouble with them and the waiter told us that the Government was trying to help them. It was so sad to see them just standing on street corners looking thirsty and hungry in the heat!     ... special folding bits hanging from them which were buried in the sand to stop them blowing away! Never seen that in NZ. I walked down to the water , a very pebbly and granite and quartz beach , a bit ******* the feet! The water was nice , just the right temperature and so clear and that amazing blue.     ... day as we wove our way through small coastal villages with no one around and land that had been scorched blonde by the hot sun. Finding our accomodation has always been an interesting operation between us and the GPS! This time the chap actually had a sign on his gate telling us the name 'Residence Villa Giada'.     We tried two different ways to get to the beaches. The first route was very near our hotel, but the road was closed. So, Eldon went back to our hotel and got directions to go another way.     ... which was good but slightly disappointing as it was all singing and no dancing………only one of our party of three stayed awake. Needless to say we left before the end!!
    We are now enjoying the nightlife in Italy and the party tonight starts at 10pm…..way beyond my bed time, but who knows!!
