      ... and I went our seperate ways! We walked our way back to Maurizios shop to see if he might have Sue's lamp ready and to pick up one for Suzie! We visited a bit and headed over to meet Amy on Murano! We arrived at Corallo to find Diego who waited for us to say hello!       ... Only day, so back into it tomorrow. It's going to be a bit of a shock to the system, given it's forecast for a high of 9 degrees - not what we've got used to (although only 13 here in Venice today). So goodbye to Murano, off in the water taxi and back to the airport. Venice is NOT CHEAP. Not at all, the transportation costs are something else.       ... guide was the lovely Branka. Our first stop was Ston - a tiny village on the coast. Croatia is surrounded by towering limestone mountains (same as Montenegro and Amalfi), which once again makes it difficult to grow anything. The limestone is porous which soaks up the water and stops flooding occurring (a good thing). The little village is wine and olive oil producing as the climate is perfect.
