      ... was the food. Pity we didn't find it earlier in our stay as we would have liked to return! Just as we got our coffee to finish the meal, there were a few drops of rain starting. So we hurried up and finished and quickly walked home to avoid getting wet. Luckily, it seems this was little more than just a very light shower, but there was thunder and after last night's storm, we didn't want to take any chances. Wet clothes are a pain to ...

      ... the saxophone to some “American Songbook” titles. Jodie and Malcolm shared an impromptu dance which made for a lovely end to the night.

      We have packed our suitcases tonight, so we have a “relaxed” morning without having time working against us. After a late dinner, our day ended as we thought about our next part of our holiday – Jodie flying to London and Malcolm and Karen off to the cruise ship.

      We had to wait for our meal for a while, but it was so worth it.

      We downed our meal pretty quick because it was so good and boated our way back to our hotels.
      I got a goodnight kiss and she walked away.

      ... see the two "guards" on top of the building swing their giant clappers.

      BTW, why all the St. Mark accolades? Well, at least part of this poor disciple's body is supposed to be enshrined in the basilica (with his head still being in Alexandria and part of his body in Cairo -- gross!).

      The Campanile, Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, and so much more. A breathtaking afternoon, to be sure.

      ... were designed as girls in dresses. Then we went home for a quick cup of tea. After our half an hour long relaxation session we headed off to the basilica. Which was quite beautiful. But I must say York Minister beat it. We then went home for a quick nap because our feet were about to fall off. About to go out to San Marco Square to see the blue flying things... I wonder where you get those? ...
