... Our risottos (cuttlefish in seppia, and pesce, were great, and even better with a serve of superb spinaci and a litre of vino rosso! You can probably tell that this blog entry has been thrown together more quickly! It's Thursday morning now, and we will be off to breakfast, pack and check out by 10.30am. George will be in Camino for a few days, then back to Venice before the Bucharest gig. Pam and I take a train to Florence, where I'll be for a whole month! I'll be back in Venice again! ...

... then later lunch. Came back to the hotel for a rest then went for a 45 minute glide through the canals on a gondola. It was beautiful and so comfortable and we saw even more sights of Venice. We then had a coffee, walked around Venice more and had tea about 6.30. Phillip had an enormous calzone for tea - he gave it 9 out of 10!!! After more walking, back to the hotel about 8pm. ... Did I mention that I purchased a somewhat large suitcase in Amsterdam with the thought that I could pack my backpack into it and wheel the suitcase. This should be easier than putting backpack on and of. Good in theory but the suitcase was to heavy for me to lift up and down the steps to nearly all railways that we have been on so I now put some things into suitcase and the rest in backpack. ... at bridge of sighs and went into the Basillica which was cool they ad a whole section of dead people parts which is what makes it a Basillica (not how you spell it but I'm on a bs ATM and everyone is asleep so no one to ask How to spell it. Once we had one this we bought a cheap mask to wear tonight at the mask party. Then we caught the water taxi back and the shuttle bs took us ack to camping jolly. Another meal in the cook tent. ... arrived, there were already about 30 people waiting. All total, we filled 12 gondolas with 4-6 passengers in each. As Holly described it, we looked like an armada moving down the Grand Canal.
