... spaghetti marinara (seafood) type dish, my dad had gnocchi which spicy salami and my sister had penne with a tomato sauce. These dishes were delicious. We then got second course which was meat, my sister and I ordered scaloppini and my dad ordered fish. I'm sorry to say but these dishes were horrible and we decided that we cooked much better food. Once we attempted to finish the dish we payed and set off for our apartment. We then had a shower played a game of cards and went to ...

    La (Sunny) Serenissima

Venice's "nickname" is La Serenissima, "the most serene." We're feeling pretty mellow ourselves on this perfect fall day, our last full day here. A few more special churches, more scenic vapporetto rides, more sunny piazza peoplewatching are on the shortlist.

Venice is really enjoyable, especially off the main tourist attractions. For some reason, there are not ...

Today we had the same pastries from the same shop down the corner. My tooth is very loose today and it almost fell out. I had a chocolate croissant, hot milk and orange juice. We then walked home and got our bags ready down stairs for the taxi to pick us up. We stood on the corner looking for the taxi. The taxi came a little bit late but only 10 minutes late. We all put our bags in the back and got in the car. The car was spacious and had ...

    Dungeons and Dragons

Venice has the most beautiful buildings as soon as you step out of the train station! The canal runs straight passed you and is overflowing with gondolas, water taxis, and even buses - water buses. Even the dirt on the sides of the buildings looks cool. I would be a fool if I didn't acknowledge that the messy/scruffy look is so hot right now and Venice most certainly has it down pat. Karliana and I walked around for a bit, wasting time before our hostel check in. ...
