Another day of travel took us through Salzburg on our way to Innsbruck. We toured the gardens and walked over the bridge to the old city. What is great about backpacking with no fixed agenda or itinerary, is that you can make changes to your plans at any time, based on how you feel or based on things you read & hear. That was the case with our visit to Vienna & Kitzbuhel. We had not planned to visit Austria, but since we were so close to Vienna we decided to go there & since we were in Austria, ...

... have to admit, that even for a bloke, it is an amazing place! Absolutely everything in the place sparkles, from the stairs, to the tables, to the toilets..... So we spent a while there as Treas sampled everything, and bought virtually nothing, and then did a general wander around the old town which has a quite a nice feel to it, and parts date back to the 1500s. Will post this now while I still have good wifi, and try to come back to it ...
