We're on our way to Italy for the next month and stopped for the night in Bellinzona in the Swiss Alps, we are only an half hours drive from Lake Lugano which we'll visit tomorrow. The first snow of the year fell last night, but I don't think anyone here gets to excited about it, as most of the hotels seem to be closed until the 4th December!

... La Darsena at 8pm. We were just seated and looking at menu when in walked Peter and Edwina so we changed our tables to sit together. Very relaxed atmosphere with beautiful food. Tried Aperoll as an aperitif as recommended by Edwina. Looked like Tizer! Had pumpkin risotto with venison to start, Stu had lentil with sausage soup. Followed by duck and steak. What a view! Couldn't wait to,open blinds this morning to see what was outside as we arrived in the dark. Lake Como is stunning. Have small balcony and we just sat there drinking in the view. Down to breakfast which was in a room with great views over the Lake. Stu recognised Mick McCarthy who was sitting at the next table to ours.
