After a nicely-catered flight on Singapore Airlines (endless food and drinks served in a first class fashion!), we woke up (John slept little to not at all, Sally and Jill not much more!) flying over Ireland around 8:00 in the morning (1 AM central time). Every New Year there is a Neujahrsumzug parade followed by a huge party on Rosenmontag and they have been celebrating Karneval here for almost 200 years.
