Many travelers visit Peru or even the entire South American continent solely for the purpose of setting foot on Macchu Pichu, the famed showpiece of the Incan empire, one of the New 7 Wonders of the world. Finally, after more than 2 months of travel through Peru's other neighbours, we arrive here, with Ed, eager to find out what all this hype was about. ... vervoer. Cuzco, Peru avi_einat... use of the pool but it was a bit chilly for me. We were shown our accommodation, which was basically a cane hut with a mud floor and 4 beds in it - when we had booked the tour we were shown pictures of a private room with its own bathroom but apparently there had been 'some confusion'. We had to share with the other couple on the trip, which was kind of weird. Not as weird as for her I suppose, since it was her birthday. Lucky her getting to share with us.... After a ...
Colca Canyon, Peru peterandgillian... The tents are already set up so we get to unpacking and making home for another night. Or rather the girls did, the guys sat there and watched offering usless hints and generally being rubbish.....no suprise there then. After a little nap we are awoken with lunch, another amazing three course meal. Then Jimmy suggests we have a game of footie with the locals, as we have only seen a few kids under the age of ten hanging around the farm we were staying on we all ...

We took a mouthful of leaves, stripped off the veins of the leaves, chewed softly and then with it took a bite of the small alkaline stone (which tasted bitter) for the leaves to work more effectively. I wasn't sure if I was doing it correctly, but the fact that I was chewing on something was distracting myself from the parts where we were hiking uphill.

We arrived at Cruzpata to have lunch where we had panoramic views of the ...
