Yesterday was such a full day- it was great! After breakfast we walked around the area we're staying in (main city near the train station), and went into little shops and market stalls :) We then met with Lee's friend Beate for lunch - haha this was quite a mission! We had the street name (about 1.5km from our hotel), but managed to get lost several times! Haha quite an adventure, but we had a good laugh- allowed us to see a lot more of Frankfurt too as we ...
... rushed over to the opposite platform by a man who only spoke Arabic and French. Once we arrived at our platform we needed to buy our ticket. Luckily we found two girls about our age who spoke English and helped us out. We got on the train and arrived safely at our stop. Our hotel is just opposite the train station and is amazing! We got in and unpacked before we realised how breath taking the view from our window ...
... the autobahns, lake Como, lake Lemon, pedro's dinner, Suzy's hospitality, gabby's dinner, the list goes on and on. Low lights were few... A few restaurants we couldn't get into, an uncomfortable bed and pillow, a dud hotel in a red light light zone, and many, many things half open or closed in Paris and Rome.... But hey thats life isn't it???? (D). Last night tonight. Will be so happy to be back home ...
... most things were closed, and the streets were quiet, but we did find a restaurant open for lunch. There is little explanation I can give for most of the things we saw, as we didn't have a guide, so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

We had a 2 1/2 hour drive to Essen which was quite entertaining watching and hearing the fast cars speed into the horizon.
On arrival we wondered what we were entering; it looked like a melting pot of cultures, and not too safe. Hotel Franz was a new modern oasis nestled in its own small Forrest.
