Mar del Plata, Argentina pamericasThe beach!!! This is not just any quiet beach. It is a good sized city about 400km (250mi) south of Buenos Aires. It is the largest city on the Atlantic costal strip of beaches and fishing towns in Eastern Argentina. There is a busy casino that draws many "porteños"(B.A. residents) for vacations year ...

Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina juanita16... dire qu'après une grande promenade en front de mer, je n'avais rien d'autre à y faire et que j'ai repris le bus. ---------- Well, after the mess of Buenos Aires I wanted to change my mind, so I took the bus to go to Mar del Plata, a little seaside resort on the Atlantic coast. The ride's been all nice, even if a third of the time in the bus was spent going out of Buenos Aires and its monstruous traffic jams... Once in Mar del Plata I had to take a ...

Mar Del Plata, Capital Federal District, Argentina logb... on the beach walk which have nice and amazing view while eating. I stayed at Hotel Pergamino for 25 ARS. The reception is the most wonderful woman who gives out a lot of tourist information for free. The rooms are mixed with shared bathroom and definitely worth the stay. I took the overnight bus to Puerto Merydin to watch the penguin colony.
Mar Del Plata, Argentina canadiansmiley... of what was, frankly, a dull game. Scotland weren´t going to win, a 0-1 score to Argentina was respectable enough, but it would have been more fun to see some more goals, even if it was in Scotland´s net. This was Maradona´s first game as manager of the Argentinian team, you´d think they´d liven it up a bit. Och well. We then went on for a steak dinner, some drinks in a bar. The chaps went on to a club, but as they don´t really get going until 2am, I ...
Mar del Plata, Central Argentina, Argentina johnsa32After 10 fairly intense days in Buenos Aires, we were happy to arrive in Mar del Plata, a laid back beach town on the coast just 6 hours south of the capital. We immediately realised that we were essentially in the Brighton of Argentina (but with sand instead of pebbles on the beach). It is a summer-city based mostly around its proximity to the sea and has these English-looking brick buildings that line the ...
Mar Del Plata, Argentina thelepkis... nasty about it, but we were supplied with fresh soap and towels every day, and that was enough to please me, However it was lucky our night did end abruptly as through the night an extra three people tried to sleep in our room, as they´d overbooked the place!! Following day we went to see the sea lions, however after about an hour we realised that we´d rather underestimated the distance. we did get to walk along a rocky, beach side path ...
