... a lot of history and the buildings are old. Its interesting to note that in spite of the city having been severely bombed by the allies during the war, the three cathedrals, which sport tall spires, were never hit or damaged. Must be a divine force at work.

After a couple of beers at our lighthouse boat we returned to the hotel for another awesome supper with real ...

Holland is done, and now its time to move on. I needed to have a business meeting in Hamburg, Germany and so we packed up and hit the road. We were greeted by a lovely little Frau who spoke no English but we managed just fine. She brought out our drinks along ...

The airport hotel has rooms with peope in them with interesting things happening in then, particularly at night. There is a lot of humour here and you have to look very carefully to pick it up, for example in the Swiss mountains there is a convent with a line of nuns walking up to it, however the last few in the line are penguins! We could have spent many days ...

    Driving to Amsterdam

A travel blog entry by lisaputtlitz on Aug 02, 2014

This was the second time that I went to Amsterdam by car, which is really delightful. You really just follow to "Autobahnen" (yes, those where you SOMETIMES can drive as fast as you want.) And you are there. We were really lucky since the traffic on our side of the road was quite fluent while the other side had the most ridiculous traffic jam. So it took us about eight hours from our home town ...
