... squares with ornate fountains and found St. Paul's Gate leading out to the harbour. Amazing! We had beautiful sunshine today and no wind, so we enjoyed our last giros in the sun with wifi on the side! Walked outside the city and around to the Tower and Lighthouse of St. Nicholas. Along this path we could here someone sawing down trees and before arriving at the cave we were met on the path by a ...

Another day just exploring on our own, so a leisurely departure from the ship after breakfast. Rhodes is really lovely. It is part of the Dedoconese Islands and totally different than the Cycladic Islands like Mykonos, which are all whitewashed and blue. Very long history here, back to Prehistoric and Mycenaean times. From the period of the Crusades is ...

... quads and dune buggies. One cheeky glance towards each other and we were ripping off in a dune buggy to our Kefalos accommodation on the opposite side of the island. We stayed at Manolis Studios which was run by a lovely Greek family and we had a few great conversations with the proud but humble father, Bambas. That afternoon we lounged by the pool, met our topless, friendly, gay Welsh neighbours and then headed off for dinner. ...
