    ... another day or so we had an email that told us we were going to have to pay over $500 Australian in duty and tax as they said the value had been stated in US dollars. We had originally asked that DHL complete the customs process in Athens but after some discussion and emails we eventually arranged for it to be shipped to Thessaloniki and we would complete the customs process ourselves on our return from Turkey

    ... for a drink. They have recently met and we enjoyed talking to them both. We learned a lot about their thoughts and views of Greece. Perhaps one statement summed it up, that in Greece everything is possible if it were illegal. My assessment is that Greece has lots of grey interpretation whereas countries like NZ and Germany, it is black or white, ie we voluntarily conform.

    ... was close to perfect - well until evening and the sand flies and mosquitos decided that they like this place too. Something that you would also expect in NZ I guess.
